Basketball is one of the most widely watched sports in the world. This game requires speed, agility, strategy, skill. The aim of the game is to shoot the ball into the hoop, depending on where you shoot from you are awarded 2 or 3 points. It is played over 48 minutes divided into 12 minutes of 4 quarters. At the end of 48 minutes team with the points wins.
Major Events
The most famous league is the NBA played in the USA. The NBA has a majority of Americans but also has foreign players from Europe and Africa too. Apart from the NBA, there are Chinese, Spanish, Greek and German leagues. Basketball is also played at the Olympic games
