NBA Playoffs : Race To The Championship

NBA Playoffs 2021 are going on currently and nearing the end. The teams that remain are Phoenix Suns, L.A Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets. Below is news, my predictions and the best player from each side.

Western Conference

The Western Conference final is all set up, the two finalists are Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers. While the Suns swept Denver Nuggets 4-0, Clippers bounced back to beat Utah Jazz 4-2. The series will start on Monday, June 21st.

Players To Look Out For

Phoenix Suns: As a leader, one can't look past Chris Paul. His arrival to the Suns have lifted their title hopes, finishing second in the Western Conference and ousting two big teams in the playoffs. However, their best player has to be Devin Booker. The three point machine has averaged a whopping 25 points per game throughout the season. However, he'll face a challenge against the strong defense of L.A Clippers.

Los Angeles Clippers: Normally, this would be a simple choice, but Kawhi Leonard's injury in game five has led me to choose his partner in crime, Paul George. He has fired 31,37 and 28 in his last three games and he can step up as a leader too in the absence of Kawhi.

My Prediction

Although the favorites on paper would be Clippers, Suns have been such a formidable force and they have proven it by beating a very strong Lakers side and I back the Phoenix to win the Western Conference.

Eastern Conference

Both the series in the eastern conference are tied up 3-3. The two matches are Philadelphia 76ers vs Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets. All these teams finished off their previous series wins in less than 5 games, yet here we are waiting for two all important game sevens. Bucks face Nets on 20th June and Hawks play 76ers on 21st June.

Players To Look Out For

Atlanta Hawks - This choice, undoubtedly, is the clutch three point shooter, Trae Young. He has posted 30+ scores in his last two games and trust him to do that again.

Philadelphia 76ers - I think Joel Embiid who has been so impressive in the past few years, will turn up for game 7. He suffered an injury, but has been playing and performing too with a 70% fit body. The Cameroonian is posting insane figures without much help from his team mates.

Milwaukee Bucks - It's tough to look beyond the "Greek Freak", Giannis Antentokounmpo. He has been one of the best players in the eastern conference for the last few years and continues to perform. He is an absolute master from the paint and expect him to rise to those levels.

Brooklyn Nets: Picking one solitary player in this star studded team is tough, but with James Harden and Kyrie Irving not fully fit, all eyes will be on Kevin Durant. The two time NBA champion will be backing his team to give him a rightfully deserved ring.

My Predictions

Hawks vs 76ers -

With the experience they have, I back 76ers to win this contest.

Bucks vs Nets -

I think Bucks will beat a Brooklyn, a side who's quality has been diminished by injuries.

Bucks vs 76ers -

For me , Giannis and his men will beat 76ers easily in the conference finals.

Bucks vs Suns -

Suns are a really tough side to beat, and I think that will remain the case.
